Below the Surface – Riverview Launch Tour:
October 9-12, 2012
Below the Surface is a non-profit organization dedicated to the exploration of and education about the issues surrounding water. This organization was founded by 2 surfers/outdoorsmen who tired of getting sick from surfing polluted waters after rainstorms in San Diego and who felt that an innovative, interactive and compelling approach was needed to improve water quality. Tracing the source of coastal water pollution upstream, the founders set out on a series of long canoe expeditions to experience and photograph current river conditions in America. They planned to catalogue the reality of water conditions from the field through source to sea film and photography, and worked to bring attention to these issues.
Thorfinn Expeditions will join the Below the Surface team for a stand up paddle down the iconic Charles River and the Mystic River into Boston Bay.
